Slow Onboarding
Your dashboard should scream efficiency on all fronts. That includes allowing new users to be able to learn it fast because every hour of training takes time away from real work.
-
Extended training periods delay ROI
-
Support tickets overwhelm your team
-
User frustration starts from day one

High Churn Rate
If you’re losing users at an alarming rate, that means your dashboard isn’t creating real value. We can spot the underlying issues and redesign the interface for better ROI.
-
Failed trial-to-paid conversions
-
Negative word-of-mouth and reviews
-
Revenue loss compounds monthly
35-40%

Our Agile Dashboard Design Process
Over the years, we’ve made our dashboard design methodology fast and effective to keep your schedule uninterrupted.
1
Phase 1
Data Audit
Dashboards are all about making raw data meaningful. We’re super cautious about vanity metrics that look impressive but drive no value. After our audit, only the most important, validated, and decision-driven metrics make it to the dashboard.
Deliverables
-
Metrics-priority matrix
-
User persona analysis
-
Current state assessment
-
Opportunity map
Timeline
3-5 business days
Includes stakeholder workshops and data analysis
Key Questions
-
What decisions need data?
-
Who uses this daily?
-
What's currently broken?
Phase 2
Information Architecture
A dashboard fails when users have to think too much. We count every user’s analytics capability and their needs when creating the data journey. As a result, there’s zero confusion about what matters most.
Deliverables
-
Sitemap structure
-
User flow diagrams
-
Navigation taxonomy
-
Widget hierarchy
Timeline
4-6 business days
Includes card sorting and user testing sessions
Key Questions
-
How do users think?
-
What's the critical path?
-
Where do they get lost?
Phase 3
Visual Language
Did you know visual language directly impacts decision speed and error rate? Aside from consistency, we also care about clarity for faster processing. So, every color, font, and spacing is tied to specific meaning and thresholds.
Deliverables
-
Color system guide
-
Typography scale
-
Icon library
-
Component styles
Timeline
5-7 business days
Includes design system creation and documentation
Key Questions
-
What emotions to evoke?
-
Brand alignment needs?
-
Accessibility requirements?
Phase 4
Prototyping & Interaction Design
In this step, we let you have a complete user experience before it’s developed. We make sure every interaction provides the right data at the right moment - the exact way the user is expecting to make decisions.
Deliverables
-
Interactive prototype
-
Micro-interactions
-
Animation specs
-
User testing report
Timeline
7-10 business days
Includes prototype creation and user testing cycles
Key Questions
-
Is it intuitive?
-
Where do users hesitate?
-
What needs refinement?
Phase 5
Stress Testing with Real Data
What happens with 10,000 rows? Extreme values? Missing or inconsistent data? We simulate real-world scenarios to ensure the design stays stable, responsive, and readable in any condition.
Deliverables
-
Edge case documentation
-
Error state designs
-
Loading patterns

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my dashboard be mobile-friendly?
Yes, of course. But in our design process, “mobile‑friendly” means more than just shrinking a desktop screen. We design responsive layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and orientations, so the structure and priorities change meaningfully for phones and tablets (instead of just squeezing everything into a smaller view). As a result, as screen width decreases, the layout reflows intelligently (e.g. cards stack vertically). We also prioritise content so the most important insights stay in front and the center.
What type of data visualizations do you use?
In short, anything you need for the best dashboard design experience. To give you some idea:
a) Line and bar charts for trends and comparisons,
b) Scatter plots for relationships, and
c) KPIs or cards for important metrics at a glance.
If necessary, we also use treemaps, heat maps, combo charts, or geospatial maps to help users make better decisions.
Can you work with our existing tech stack?
Yes, our veteran dashboard designers have the experience of working with a range of databases, BI tools, APIs, and front-end frameworks. So, there’s no need to rebuild or replace your existing infrastructure for our dashboard design services.
